- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆There is a puppy mill within Barry County which keeps the dogs outside year round. They are not in insulated dog houses, the puppies and their parents live in open, plastic barrels in the winter, wind chills hitting 25 BELOW ZERO. The dogs have frozen water, they live directly on the snowy ground and have little to no comfort. The owners just pocket the money for selling the pups, spending nothing to provide a decent life for the dogs. We have photos to prove this and I would be happy to post them. We have documented conversations with this homeowner threatening that he has the right to SHOOT the dogs if he wants at any given time. Is that how things are in Barry County? Small dogs may be shot inside county limits at any time? This is an egregious situation and all possible attention will be focused on it. If Animal Control continues to do nothing, additional evidence will be collected to determine responsibility.By M Dunlap, December 05, 2016
